Buxton Pavilion Gardens

The jewel in the crown of Buxton and the high peak

Buxton Pavilion Gardens is a great example of a client who has utilised one of our temporary buildings on a long-term basis, the temporary building has been used as an exhibition space housing farmers markets, bazaars, dances and fetes all whilst lengthy restoration work was being carried out to their existing exhibition space.

In 2016 we won a highly competitive tender process to supply Buxton Pavilion Gardens with this temporary building solution. The temporary building needed built to the highest of standards and able to accommodate a high volume of visitors as well as being low on maintenance and aesthetically pleasing.

We specified a temporary building from our Premium range measuring 15m wide by 35m long with a curved roof to enhance the premium look and feel. The structure is divided by a combination of 3m tall glass window walling to highlight the stunning local parkland and 3m tall ISO thermal panels to provide insulation to the structure along with acoustic dampening.

Our solution

To aid with heat retention and general warmth, insulated roof linings were installed to the temporary structure. The pillow roof linings help retain heat within the building and also reduce external noise by 14dbs. The building was fitted with a state of the art climate control system and air sock.

To light the venue, 24 white 70watt metal halides were chosen to provide maximum coverage. The lights are divided up in to four areas to allow the venue users to manage the environment.

A durable dark wood effect vinyl was chosen to floor the marquee. Hideaway sockets were also installed as well as perimeter sockets to allow the space to be used to its full potential.
