Background
Westonbirt School is a co-ed independent day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 2 to 18 years, located in the Cotswolds, 90 minutes from London.
Set within 210 acres of parkland grounds and featuring a breath-taking mansion, Westonbirt is one of the UK’s leading academic institutions.
The Requirement
A temporary sports hall building was required to replace an existing small sports hall.
The Fews Solution
Fews provided a 10 metre x 20 metre insulated structure with double skin thermo roof and 40mm sandwich panel walling on a 3 metre leg. To provide a stable base on the every uneven ground, Fews used ground levelling supports below a ring beam cassette floor. Access platforms, ramps and handrails were fitted at each of the entrances which featured glazed double doors.
A dedicated on-site Project Manager planned and oversaw the complete installation and included the provision of temporary welfare, aluminium access trackway, site fencing and temporary power.
